Special Plan G20-Summit July 6th-8th, 2017
The leaders of the G20 and many other state officials are coming to Hamburg for the G20-Summit from Thursday, July 6th to Saturday July 8th, 2017. The Summit will be taking place in the city centre with many levels of security zones.
The city is preparing with many security precautions but there are no good predictions for what will happen during this time and how peaceful or possibly violent it will become.
The following three point will be applied to our tours:
The security of our guides and guests are of the utmost importance to us. Therefore we reserve the right, depending on the situation, to change the tour route or shorten or completely cancel our tours during this time.
- Historic City Centre Tour – 11:00 a.m. Start Town Hall (Rathaus)
the tours should take place as normally scheduled. In the case that demonstrations or blockades in front of the town hall, it is possible that we cannot meet directly in front of the main entrance. In this case we will try to stay close by in sight with our YELLOW UMBRELLAS on the town hall square. - St.Pauli-Tour 2 p.m. Start Landungsbrücke 5
the usual route through St.Pauli is not possible due to the high risk area during the G20-Summit. We are offering a route along the Harbour to the Speicherstadt and new Hafencity. Starting point is the usual meeting point at St.Pauli Landungsbrücke Nr. 5 (right next to the Hard Rock Cafe). - Hamburg Craft Beer Tasting Tour Fri./Sat. 6 p.m.
For this tour we are offering alternative routes and locations that are far away from the high risk areas in St.Pauli. The starting point/meeting point will be sent to the participants shortly after they reserve.
